NeoTechCC (or Neo) as some call it, started out around sometime in April 2001 as a pet project! Originally I started the site out of frustration with Usb driver installation CD's. The CD's and Windows installer/Uinstaller both werent worth a D*amn. So I went out to all the vendor websites to look for any new drivers that might have been released for that specific Cable Modem, Preferably with Executable file extensions.
After finding numerous improved drivers and a few other tid bits I decided to throw up a webpage so that I could share them with my fellow Tech's. As time went on and the frustration of not having up to date tools, walk thru's, and or screenshots, I set out to find them and post them. Thats when the site started to take shape.
Originally the name of the site was "www.chronic-issues.com" but as funny as this may sound the higher ups at that time thought the name may accidentally be referenced to ....get this......SMOKE! Well at first when they contacted me I thought it may be to broke Network equipment not BUD, but anyway thats when I had to come up with a new name for the site on the fly.
Well since I had just got done watching the "Matrix" and someone had already grabbed the domain "neotech" I then threw on the CC for "Customer Care". OK its dorky....so what the name stuck and life goes on.
As far as me, I am the sole constructor and maintainer of the site, with the exeption of small projects that some people help me out with from time time. No I dont get paid for any of this and dont care if I ever do honestly. I just want to post up a site that maybe some people might find usefull.
Will this site ever require a memebership???....let me say this loud.....HELL NO!, will I ever post advertisements and or add's.....huuummmm, well If I ever do they will be very very small, non-intrusive, cool and I gotta really like em. Otherwise a big HELL NO to those to.
